Details of locally organized events will be posted here as they are planned. Please be aware that the dates and times may vary. Although I endeavour to stick to a schedule, there are just some things outside of my ability to influence. Day 1 - Platteville - 19th June 2006

The day will start early with a breakfast at 6:00am at Country Kitchen, 65 East Highway 151, Platteville, WI, 53818. Phone (608) 348-3041. Chad Holstein and the gang are looking forward to providing our energy needs for the day. For details on what they have to offer, click here.

So far I have a couple of interested people who are willing to walk the whole day, including the inaugural video footage of crossing the Mississippi to commence the walk. We will be leaving Country Kitchen after breakfast to shuttle to the Mississippi to commence the day.

The day will also conclude back at Country Kitchen with a feast and a celebration of the first steps that will bring about the so needed changes to promote better and more positive Father/child relationships.

All are welcome to attend this family feast at Country Kitchen at around 6:00pm on June 19th. We will be videoing the evening and posting the party on this web site, so if you want to see your smiling face in the public arena, this would be the night to do it.

Day 4 - Monroe - 22nd June 2006

Courtesy of Representative Davis and his hard working staff, there will be a meet and greet at 6pm, The Garden Deli 1602 11th St (it is on the South side of the historic square). I promise to keep my shoes on!

Day 5 - Brodhead - 23rd June 2006

Day 6 - Janesville - 27th June 2006

An Ice-cream and refreshments event will be hosted by Walk For Children in the Rotary Gardens, Janesville starting at 6:00pm.

All funds raised will be donated to the Janesville Boys & Girls Club.

A big thank-you to Kent's Ice-cream of Janesville for donating the ice-cream.

Day 10 Waterford - 3rd July 2006

On our way to Wind Lake, we will be stopping for lunch at 11:30am at the Riverside Pub & Grill.

Day 17 Madison - 14th July 2006

Madison to rattle some cages.

We are meeting at Olbrich Park on the west side of Lake Monona at 12noon to walk the last 2 miles into Madison.

We will be arriving at the Capital Building to "face-to-face" the law makers to ask them why they choose to discriminate against Fathers and children.

We will ask the question "Why is the child/Father relationship of lesser importance than the child/Mother relationship?"

There will never be equality in the workplace while the laws still teach inequality in the homeplace. My daughter deserves equality in the work place AND equality in the home place.
